Bowl-a-thonTo participate in the bowl-a-thon, students must pay $5 and bring back their permission slip as well as the pledge sheet. They need to have at least $25 in pledges to participate.
The students will ask friends and family to donate a flat rate or pledge per pin to help them raise money for science camp. If the person pledges a flat rate, you can collect the money at the time or after the bowl-a-thon. If they pledge per pin, the student will receive a record of how many pins he/she knocked down and then multiply that by the pledge amount. There is an example on the pledge sheet. If you child chooses to participate in this fundraiser, we will be walking to the bowling alley together right after school on October 2nd. Your child must be picked up from the bowling alley by 3:30pm. If you would like your child to walk or bike home from the bowling alley (please make sure they know the way), you must send a signed note with your child giving him/her permission. |
Candy SaleIf you take a box of candy, you must sell all of it. You cannot bring back unsold candy bars. Each box contains 60 candy bars that sell for $1. Your child must turn in $60 for each box of candy taken home, and $30 will go towards his/her science camp fund. When they have turned in the money for their candy box, they will have the option to take home another box if they wish to continue selling. |
